We read a variety of, some serious, some funny - some we enjoy more than others! We used to take a role each, but this meant that some people never read that week as the scene did not include every character.  We now read round the group which means that everyone reads at every session and it make the reading flow.

This group is now at its maximum numbers. Therefore anyone wishing to join hereafter will be placed on the waiting list.

Our playreading group is friendly
We all get on very well
And whatever play we are reading
We enjoy it, loudly, you can tell.

The play we’ve just finished reading
Was funny, violent and rude, it must be said
We all read our lines with great gusto
Until the cast had been shot, and were all dead!

The play before that one was funny
Where two women, one slim the other fat
Were watching a helicopter landing
And the blades cut their heads off – You’d think that was that!

But a surgeon who worked there was an expert
And he sewed their heads back right away.
But he got the wrong head for each woman
They were certainly not happy, you could say.

So whatever it is, we’ll enjoy the next play
And look forward to Playreading in April and May.
